Whole Heart

How can my heart be whole when it’s been broken so many times. Broken into so many pieces. Shattered, really. Over and over and over in this world.

How can my heart be whole?

It is God magic,

God miracle,

God only who can make whole out of so many pieces.

Have you ever shattered something on the floor? Shattered a glass into so many pieces nothing could fix it?

So out comes the broom and the dustpan and the sweeping and the vacuuming and the mopping to get all the fragmented shatters and shards and pieces and it could never be fixed.

That has been my heart.

Over

And over

And over and over.

And it could never be fixed.

Until Jesus.

Jesus magic and Jesus miracle can fix the shards and shatters of a  broken heart.

And make it whole.

And I’m amazed

Because even when I think back to the times when the broken pieces of my heart seemed as if they would never be put back together again,

They were.

And not just put back together but better and more whole—

If more whole is possible.

And it is possible!

With God.

Because with Him, all things are possible!

Psalm 147:3

“God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Ezekiel 36:26

“I will plant a new heart and new spirit inside of you. I will take out your stubborn, stony heart and give you a willing, tender heart of flesh.”

Luke 1:37

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
